Looking after buyers
We sell businesses? but it takes two to tango and nothing happens unless we find a willing and able buyer.
We have a fiduciary duty to the seller but we also have an ethical obligation to the buyer to be fair and just in negotiations and in the preparation and execution of all forms and agreements.
The more we know about buyers and their goals, dreams, and motivations the better we will be able to assist them. Some questions we find helpful include:
- What are you passionate about in life? - How many hours a week do you see yourself working? - What are your goals and aspirations? - What attracted you about the business you called on? - Will you consider other types of business? - What types could interest you? - Do you know how to value a business? - What is your background experience? - How much can you invest if we find the right opportunity for you?
Normally, our services to buyers are FREE ? it is the seller who pays the fee. Among the many free services we can provide the buyers are:
- education on the buying process - details on suitable businesses they are qualified to buy - advice on the business sales market and appraisal methods - notifying other professional brokers of the buyer?s requirements - advice and protection regarding legislation, such as Fair Trading Act, Commerce Act, Privacy Act, etc. - introduction of experienced professional advisors if required: commercial lawyers, accountants, financiers, or due diligence experts - negotiating experience to help a deal come together - assistance in satisfying conditions - searching for suitable unlisted businesses
We value buyers.
